ASST PROF. OF SPANISH, tenure track, contingent upon
final funding. Required: Ph.D. in Spanish, major field in
Spanish Golden Age with competency in contemporary
Peninsular literature, native or near-native fluency in
Spanish, 3 yrs. college teaching experience, publication
or demonstrated scholarly promise, evidence of excellence
in teaching. Responsibilities inc. undergraduate and
graduate courses in Golden Age literature, Translation,
Spanish language, Intro. to Hispanic literatures
and cultures and supervision of M.A. theses. Send letter
of application with vita, sample publication, three
letters of reference, to Prof. Michael J. Horswell, Chair
of Golden Age Search Committee. Deadline for receipt:
Dec. 1. Selected candidates will be interviewed at the
MLA convention.
