UMass Boston's Hispanic Studies Department invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in
Hispanic Linguistics beginning fall 2000. Candidates
should have a sound commitment to education in a
public urban university; interest in teaching courses in
Spanish language; very strong research interests; abilty
to contribute to specialized courses such as advanced
syntax, translation, and grammar for native Spanish
speakers. Native or near native fluency in Spanish
required. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. Position is
