SPANISH, Associate Professor; contingent on funding.
Required: Ph.D. in Spanish with preferred specialty in (Spanish)
Caribbean Literature, or generalist, with substantial administrative
experience, native or near-native speaker of Spanish, proven
excellence in teaching and research.
The ideal candidate should have a broad background in Latin American
literature with publications and research in Caribbean literature and
culture to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. Department
faculty participate in such interdisciplinary programs as Women's
Studies, Ethnic Studies, Latin American Studies, Judaic Studies, as
well as a Doctoral Program in Comparative Studies.
