LINGUISTS specialized in English, German, French or Spanish
at Logos Corporation Technology Development Center, which is situated
in Rockaway, NJ, near New York City.

Short Description:
* Developing the grammar for our top-quality commercial machine
translation system
* Writing and testing grammar rules to ensure enhanced and extended
grammatical coverage of the system
* Providing expertise for the design and development of tools and other
products

Personal Qualifications:
* Commitment and motivation
* Good communication skills
* High flexibility (working hours and activities)
* Creativity in finding solutions
* Ability to work under pressure

Candidates must have:
* An advanced university degree, with a strong background in linguistics
* Native proficiency in the working language and good knowledge of
English

Any of the following characteristics would be of advantage:
* Experience in computational linguistics
* Programming skills (Perl, Java, C++, etc.)
* Experience with databases (SQL, etc.)
* Experience in language engineering in an industrial or commercial
setting
* Experience in one or more of the following knowledge areas: machine
translation, corpus linguistics, statistical language processing,
contrastive linguistics, translation, project management
