Effective Use of the Internet in Language Teaching: What & How
20 -24 August, Amsterdam

In association with the Graduate School of Teaching and Learning,
Universiteit van Amsterdam (Instituut voor de Lerarenopleiding)

Participants will acquire specific knowledge about Internet applications
and resources relevant for foreign language teaching and will help them
create language materials that they can use in their classroom practice.

APPLICANT PROFILE
This course is intended for newly qualified and practising foreign
language
teachers interested in the possibilities of the Internet for their
classroom
practice. A basic knowledge of computers is necessary: participants
should
at least be familiar with Windows (or Mac) platforms and
word-processors.

English

LOCATION
This course will be held in the building of the Graduate School of Teaching
and Learning, Universiteit van Amsterdam, Wibautstraat 2-4, in the city centre.

FEE
NLG 1400 (Euro 635,29), including lunches and free access to the
cultural
evening programme of The Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University.

A limited number of scholarships are available for participants from
Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey. To apply for a scholarship,
please send a letter of motivation, curriculum vitae and a letter of
recommendation along with your application form. Please note that all
materials should be written in English.

REGISTRATION
Participants are expected to register for the course on Sunday 19 August
from 15.00 to 17.00 at the Felix Meritis building, Keizersgracht 324,
Amsterdam. At 17.00 The Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University will
offer
a welcoming drink to the participants and trainers.
