Description:

Language Engineer: Spanish, San Diego, CA

Systran Software Inc., a leader in Machine Translation technology
located in San Diego CA, is expanding and developing a new range of MT
technologies. We are seeking a highly qualified and energetic Spanish
computational linguist.

This person will be responsible for the continuing development of the
English into Spanish and Spanish into English language pairs. This
person will work with other computational linguists in the English
team, and with the Spanish lexicographic and testing teams. This is an
opportunity to work in an evolving environment.

The primary task is to further develop and improve the Spanish
components (analysis and generation). Other responsibilities include:
contribute to and supervise the development of translation
dictionaries; design and supervise testing; publicize and present
project to customers.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Computational
Linguistics or Computer Science (PhD, Masters), will be a native
speaker of Spanish, will have good C/C++ and Perl programming skills
and management skills, and have previous experience in Japanese
computational linguistics projects.

SYSTRAN is headquartered in Paris (France) with a subsidiary in San
Diego (California).
