Description:
The Department of Romance Languages at Washington and Lee invites 
applications for a tenure-track position to begin July, 2008. 
Ph.D. in hand by time of appointment. Area of specialization: 
Spanish General or Applied Linguistics. Teaching responsibilities 
include Spanish language courses at all levels. The appointee 
will be responsible for the development of courses in applied 
topics, such as Romance linguistics, second language pedagogy, 
advanced grammar and stylistics, and translation. Other 
curricular opportunities include study abroad and service 
learning. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, 
evidence of effective teaching and scholarly potential.
