Do they? Dictionary-makers can redefine something until they are blue in
the face.
A definition has to follow usage, as far as I am concerned. There needs to
be a
critical mass for a term to be redefined.
It will be hard to redefine the institution of "marriage", just when I think
of what
is considered "marriage" in the three monotheistic religions and in
traditional religions.
