Dear Wane,
There is a review submitted to the linguist list by Donald F. Reindl, Indiana University, Bloomington (Date: Sun, 29 June 2003). You can access it at
http://cf.linguistlist.org/cfdocs/new-website/LL-WorkingDirs/pubs/reviews/get-review.cfm?SubID=12348
If I am not wrong, there are also some comments in a review article written by Kniper at International Journal of Lexicography 2002, 15:2, pp.164-169 "Ethocentrism and the English language" (???????????). This review is less favourable than the previous one.
My personal view is that Jackson's book is not a bad choice at all, although it does not offer the range of information that its title promises for an introductory textbook to lexicography.
Best regards,
Elena Mantzari
