[Lexicog] Better not pout, better not cry

I've met very few members of any culture anywhere who are not lying to
themselves and their children via faith, belief, superstition,
tradition, ideology, stories, or whatever one would like to call it.
Although I'm not fond of white supremacy, especially the US version
where we pretend we stopped it but didn't, I don't think that particular
problem is limited to any one group or culture.

Christmas

Hmm. A Saulteau friend of mine once told me that she thought
that many of the problems of white society were due to the
fact that "they lie to their children". Her first example was
Santa Claus.
