It may be that the style changes you make don't get saved, if you don't
also save them to your document template.  After you make style changes,
try saving the resulting document as a document template, then open it and
see if the changes were saved. Or if when you are making the changes, you
want to change the template also, click the box "Add to template" in the
style formatting dialog box in Word.

To choose which template you use when you export from Toolbox, you click
"Setup" in the MDF export properties dialog. If you don't see the MDF
properties dialog when you export, click "Modify" to bring it up.
