[Lexicog] a question about profession

Hi all-- I am a linguist helping create literacy primers and other books for
a previously unwritten minority language in SE Asia. Someday I might need to
help put together and publish a dictionary for the speakers of this
language, so that is why I signed up for the lexicography list. I did have
some experience long ago (1970's) making an English-Khmer medical
dictionary--before the age of personal computers! I am especially interested
in what software is available for making dictionaries, something which would
work on Mac computers and work with a non-roman script.

Also the recently mentioned point by Robert of how to list multi-word
expressions is very interesting to me. The language I am working with has
many many of these (such as a phrase of three very common words which would
translate to mean "so" in English, etc.).
