Dear John,
What is "imho?"

Thanks, Wayne. Yes, that is how it has been for me -- the message on the
left and the Yahoo adverts on the right - and I read the message and not the
advert. But then I got a message last week where part of the message
contents ran behind the adverts. This was a previous message carried
forward. I couldn't remove the advert. I do get the message at the top which
says "Pictures have been blocked, etc." but still these Yahoo images are
there -- in my face.
They are equivalent to unwanted junk mail and unsolicited phone calls. We
get a lot of that too. But at least with these we can apply to the Post
Office or apply to BT to have it stopped - or at least reduced. A while ago
emails from my son started getting spammed by the SIL server and I had to
unspam his messages to me. He uses Yahoo too and what Yahoo had been doing
was adding adverts for Viagra to his messages without his consent or
permission, and this was what the SIL server was picking up on. It seems
that Yahoo can do whatever it likes and get away with it. Not good imho.
John
