Yes, John, I was very taken with genericide. Even if it did exist, would
they want to kill genera? But it opens up great scope for language
development.

I like your suggestion that Google should change society rather than
dictionary makers. It reminds me of a film on the political situation with
the Rote Armee Fraktion in Germany in the 1970s, where one of the directors
sent an actress acting a history teacher to party conferences, where she
harangued the speakers, asking them to improve German history so she had
something worth teaching. It makes sense!

Google should be inventing an equally catchy word to displace googling.
