David Tuggy's post reminds me of a Vermont joke. (For those who don't know,
Vermonters are known for not being overly effusive.)
A little boy was invited to dinner at the minister's house. At the end of
the meal, he thanked the minister's wife and said: "That was very good, Mrs.
Smith.", but as a true Vermonter, he continued "what there was of it.".
Realizing that this might be offensive, he added: "And there was quite a lot
of it too, such as it was".
