Yes, the word formation with -tum is very productive in German according to
the list and according to my intuition for my mother tongue.

I did not go through all the list but 'Hundetum' (for 'dogdom') or
'Schachtum' (for 'chessdom') would communicate something else in German.

I would also jar on my ears.

Here I think English seems to be more creative, while I think most of the
nouns that can be built in German with -tum cannot be built in English.

I wonder which of these creative words will make it into the dictionary.
"Stardom" made it, others will have a short life.

I find it hard to believe that you can't use -tum for creative word
formations in German too.

2) enter "tum" in the search box

3) click on "Derivation - Nomensuffix -tum"

4) Click on "alle Ableitungen" (I only tried "Nomen zu Nomen").
