I received a message from the Lexique Pro programmer today after I forwarded him the message below. He said that Lexique Pro Beta 3.0 does a better job of importing LIFT files. It can be downloaded from this address:
www.lexiquepro.com/test.htm
I downloaded and installed it today. It works fine for me, although it must be remembered that it is a Beta version, so one should use all the usual cautions (backup your database before using it with the new version, etc.). I have discovered that my configuration files with Beta 3.0 are not backward compatible with the configuration files of the latest release version of Lexique Pro. So if you think you might want to return to your previous version, be sure to save your configuration files somewhere.

Many thanks for the replies and suggestions!
I must have some configuration problem with LexiquePro or installed it
wrong. I exported flex lexicon to a LIFT file, but when I try to open
it from the file menu in LexiquePro I get an error message. The only
way to open it is to right click the LIFT file itself, choose "open
with," then choose LexiquePro from the menu. This would be fine,
except it opens without the ability to edit or save. Thankfully
however, I do have the ability to export still.
As far as exporting as a MDF from flex, I'm afraid I don't have that
option in my version of flex strangely (I'm running ver. 5.4.1). I can
export as SFM, but not a pure MDF file.
Has anyone been through this configuration problem with Lexique
already? Perhaps I'm missing it but I can't find the support page or
an email contact to sort through the problem with the error
message/edit ability.
