With regard to Rudy's point about scientific vs. "folk taxonomies", while it
is true that morphologically based classifications have changed over time,
that is because morphology is an imperfect means of reconstructing
evolutionary history. More recent classifications based on DNA sequences
are much more likely to reflect the true evolutionary history and therefore
not to change in the future.
