Hi, I'm looking for a free downloadable lexicon. I program as a hobby and I've been writing an RTF editor so that I can submit my articles online to my editor exactly like he wants to receive them so he doesn't have an excuse to keep me in that cigar stenched, dilapidated, outdated and decadent office building where he has been turning to cheese mould since the death of his wife in 1996. If I have a file of English words I can add a spellchecker, which, at this point in my career certainly should not even be required. However, there are some words, like spigot and delicatessen I seldom use, yet often misspell.
I see by the subject matter here that I am deeper into the world of lexicography than I intended to delve, and this is no venue to be so imprecise with the language. However, you folks are probably the ones who can put me on point to said file, or perhaps drive me home.
If you are still here, Thank you for your indulgence. If you left, I miss you, and if you come across the former readers of magazines, please send them home. Surely, they must have abandoned to the internet.
I didn't mean to stay so long, but everytime I feel keys under my fingertips the devil makes me dance.
Have the Day in peace, with blessings,
CC
