Subject: job opportunity
There is a three-year job of research associate available in the
Linguistics Dept at the Universitaet Konstanz (Germany), beginning 1
January 2000 or soon thereafter. Possibly renewable to 5 years.
Work will be on a research project on typology and (phonological,
morphological, syntactic) change, funded by the Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft. Occasional teaching desirable.
PhD required. Applicants should have a solid background in linguistic
theory, crosslinguistic research, and historical linguistics, and some
genetic or areal specialisation.
Payment according to the BAT IIa scale (around DM 5,000 p.m. before taxes,
depending on age).
