on Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar
July 16-18, 2009.

HPSG-2009 will take place in July, 2009 in the ancient and
beautiful city of Goettingen, Germany.
First Call for Papers
Abstracts are solicited for presentations which address
linguistic, foundational, or computational issues relating
to the framework of Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar.
Each presentation will be allotted 40 minutes, but the talk
itself must be at most 30 minutes long, leaving at least 10
minutes for discussion.
Tutorials
There will be two tutorials offered the first day of the
conference. Details will be given in the second call for
papers.
Invited Speakers
Invited speakers will be announced in the second call for papers.
Submissions
We will use an online submission system. All abstracts should be
submitted via:

Abstracts should be in PDF format and should not be more
than 5 (five) pages long.

Abstracts should mention 'HPSG-09' in the title. All
abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by at least two
reviewers. Abstracts should not include the authors' names,
and authors are asked to avoid self-references.
Important Dates
Abstract submission deadline: March 2, 2009
Notification of acceptance: April 14, 2009
Conference: July 16-18, 2009
Publication
The conference proceedings will be published online by CSLI
publications. A call for contributions to the publications
will be issued after the conference. Proceedings of previous
conferences are available at:

The final deadline for receipt of written versions of
conference papers is October 15, 2009.
