As The Department of Linguistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

aims to bring the two disciplines together, by encouraging graduate students
from all over the world to participate at IGDAL. Graduate students not
having defended a Ph.D. in Linguistics by October 2011 are invited to submit
abstracts in various subfields of theoretical and descriptive Linguistics,
Functional as well as Formal approaches to Linguistics, including frameworks
such as P&P, MP, DM, LFG, HPSG, RRG, Prague School, Typological, Descriptive
and Historical Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Neurolinguistics, etc. Topics
may include Text Linguistics, Narrative Analysis, Syntax, Semantics,
Morphology, Phonology, Pragmatics, Lexical Semantics and the various
interfaces between them.

Papers are allotted 20 minutes for presentation plus 10 minutes for
questions and discussion. Contributions can focus on results from completed
as well as ongoing research, with an emphasis on novel approaches, methods,
ideas, and perspectives. Presentations should describe original, unpublished
work.

Abstracts' length should be between 1.5-2 pages, including data, discussion,
references, examples and diagrams. The theoretical framework of the research
should be explicitly stated in the abstract. Abstracts should be typed in at
least 11-point font, with 1 inch margins (A4 or letter-size) in PDF format.
Abstracts must be anonymous and submissions are limited to 1 individual and
