you should definitely take a look at the following work of Miriam Butt
"The Development of Linking Theory in LFG"
It is available at the publications section of her web page:

It is an extensive handout which was put together for a talk of Miriam
within a Workshop on Lexical Semantics and Constraint-Based Theories,
organized by me at ESSLLI99, Utrecht (the same one which Stefan was
referring to in an earlier message). It provides a fantastic overview of
the development of LFG's linking theory.
