Dialogue Development Linguist
Job Description: Linguists will collaborate on the implementation of interactive dialogue systems as part of an experienced and dynamic language technology group. Responsible for the linguistic aspects of dialogue product and prototype development as part of an Agile team.
Qualifications:
BA Linguistics
Excellent Analytic skills
Must have good attention to detail
Strong background in Discourse, Dialogue, Pragmatics, Syntax & Semantics
Native or near native fluency in Japanese
Good command of English
Basic familiarity with Mac OS X, Windows & Linux environments
2 years experience doing linguistic analysis
Flexibility
Candidates with one or more of the following additional qualifications will be most competitive:
Experience with version control
Experience with Agile development practices
Knowledge of grammar formalisms such as LFG
Background in phonetics and phonology
Knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, German, Mandarin or Portuguese
Position will be located in Santa Clara, California
