Hi everybody,
we set up some environment for the project to develop some open and free
LFG-parser that on the long run could resemble XLE in functionalities
and grammar formalism compatibility. We would like to release all code
and material under the Apache 2 license.
If you are interested to:
- join the mailing list (not much there yet :-) ) and maybe give us
moral support, suggestions, share some ideas, please register here:
http://listserv.linguistlist.org/mailman/listinfo/lfgparser
- join the Bitbucket code and documentation repository (which will be
full of experimental code and notes, and training material), let me know
what your Bitbucket ID is (register for free here
http://www.bitbucket.org/) so that I can add you to the repo. This is a
closed group repo, but once there is some code that could be of general
interest, we will share it in an open and freely fork-able repository.
Since all this is integrated in some sort of extra-curricular course or
educational program, right now there is a lot of random code with
teaching and course material in the repo, which is not very relevant.
But, there are also some important papers on the implementation of
various parsing and unification strategies and algorithms. We hope to
see some code-base emerging in the next weeks. If you think that you
would like to participate, and if you think that you could contribute
with some C++ code, come and join us.
More announcements related to that will be available on the specific
"lfgparser" list.
Thanks and
best wishes
Damir
