[LFG] how to deal with bibliography references?

Well, References are not natural language, but pieces of data.  So you 
would not want an LFG or HPSG parser to deal with that.  Rather, if you 
were using an LFG or HPSG parser to process scientific articles, you 
would add a separate component that dealt with processing the 
references.  You could choose whatever you wanted to get this done.
