For those who read French, I wanted to draw attention to a volume hors-série of the Courrier international (Paris), which has just been published (mars-avril-mai 2003): À la découverte des 6700 langues de la planète. This is a collection of recent articles in the international press on language policies and languages (minority, endangered, etc.) around the world. The articles have appeared in the international press, but are all in French (original version or translated). This is a rich resource and certainly worth buying (available at International Press News-stands).
