Corporation Bank employees urged to use Hindi language

Panaji, June 11: Mr M Gokuldas Kamath, Assistant General Manager,
Corporation Bank, has called upon the bank employees to discharge their
normal duties in official language Hindi to the extent possible and not to
look at it as an additional burden. He was addressing the employees after
formally inaugurating a Hindi workshop organized by the bank for its
clerical level employees in Goa zone. Dr Umesh Kumar Singh, member
secretary, Town Official Language Implementation Committee, was the chief
guest at the inaugural session.  With the help of Hindi, one can carry out
his business in any part of our country, he opined.

The participating employees from various branches in Goa were enlightened
on various topics such as provisions of the official language policy of
government of India, use of Hindi software Akruti, banking terms in Hindi,
use of Hindi in the internal work, customer service and communication
skills etc, during the two-day workshop held at Hotel Manoshanti. Mr V K
Singh of Bank of Baroda, Mr Shekhar Pillai of State Bank of India, Mr G P
Gupt, Bank of Maharashtra, Dr O P Tripathi of Chowgule College, Mr K Gopal
and Mr Devkant Pawar delivered the lectures. The workshop concluded with
the prize distribution ceremony of the Rajbhasha Gyan Pratiyogita
organized on the occasion.
