Govt of India to provide education for Urdu, wherever required

Manmohan highlights UPA's policy for upliftment of minorities

Baharaich (UP), Apr 20: Expressing UPA Government's commitment for the
welfare of minorities in the country, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on
Friday said that his Government has announced new measures to bring all
round development of minorities in the country."The condition of the
minorities is pathetic," said Dr. Singh adding, "Concrete steps are
required for their development."

Speaking about the Sachar report on Muslims, Dr. Singh said that the
commission helped in getting the correct information about the status
about the Muslims in the country. He promised that the Government was
ready to bear all the expenditure to provide education of Urdu language,
wherever required. "Shun the politics of religion and caste. Think about
the future of your children and change this government," Dr. Singh urged
the voters to vote for the Congress and get rid of the Mulayam Singh
Government in the State.

The fourth round of Assembly elections in the State in scheduled to be
held on April 23, where elections to 57 Assembly seats will be held.
