The 32 students are writing a new chapter in Quebec public education
It's never been tried before in Quebec - kids from separate French and
English school boards spending three years together in the same class,
as part of a new experiment in second-language acquisition and
cultural integration.
It's almost like reality TV, except there's no TV: People at the
highest levels of the Quebec Education Department are watching this
new pilot project with great interest. For the 32 students in suburban
Châteauguay who are part of this experiment, called Option Études, are
writing a new chapter in Quebec public education.
