ETeMS conference
THE English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC), in collaboration with the
Teacher Education Division of the Education Ministry, will be hosting its
third biennial TED-ELTC ETeMS conference entitled Language, Mathematics
and Science: Harnessing the Waves of Change from Nov 27 to 29, at the
Royal Adelphi Hotel, Seremban.
Participants can look forward to three days of spirited exchange about the
significance and dynamics of the teaching and learning of Mathematics and
Science in English. More than 40 papers and workshops will explore the
intricate relationship between the three subjects and how the waves of
change generated by the new policy can be harnessed to improve learner
performance.
Plenary papers will presented by David Marsh (University of Jyvskyl,
Finland), Amy Tsui (University of Hong Kong), Mark Windale (Sheffield
Hallam University, United Kingdom) and Tony Wright (MARJON, UK). The four
speakers are authorities on issues related to language, content and
learning.
A registration fee of RM225 (inclusive of refreshment) will be charged.
Limited places are available.
