'There are so many good reasons to start learning Welsh'



The 25th Welsh Learner of the Year will be crowned at this year's
National Eisteddfod in Cardiff. Moira Sharkey profiles the four
finalists AN EBBW VALE woman who learned Welsh while feeling homesick
in Oxford, a Wrexham teacher from the north of England who is now the
dad of a Welsh-speaking family and a man inspired to learn the
language while in the Philippines are among the finalists in this
year's Welsh Learner of the Year competition. The annual competition
is now in its 25th year with the winner announced at the National
Eisteddfod on Wednesday and presented with their award at a ceremony
at Cardiff Castle that evening.
