Dear Mr Schiffman,
My name is David Pardo and I am a silent follower of your list. I am
very interested on languages and language policies, but I do not feel
normaly in position to participate. However, I hope this is going to
be the first time.
I have just read on the newspaper EL PAIS (Madrid) that the bolivian
goverment wants to create universities in indigeneus languages
(Quechua, Aymara, Guaraní). Hoping it is going to be possible, the
interesting point here will be to see how this is going to be possible
for languages that do not have yet all the technical vocabulary that
they would need to study, in this languages.
Thank you again for maintening this list.
David Pardo-Cossío
