LPGA's mandatory English policy not sitting well with EP golfers / Wales slammed on foreign language learning

American readers might like to know we had a news item about this on the
UK radio news this morning -- the spin was distinctly anti-American,
giving the impression that Americans are afraid of too many Koreans
playing golf well, and about sponshorship deals.

Meanwhile, across the UK, the number of children taking a language other
than English at school is down again. Not surprising, as the government
stopped a foreign language being compulsory (except at age 11-14!) in
2004. At least in Wales they all have to do Welsh.
