Trudeau urges Canadians to learn a second language

Edmonton -- Justin Trudeau says Canadians who don't learn a second
language are "lazy" and are "shooting themselves in the foot."
Mr. Trudeau told teachers at a languages conference in Edmonton that
learning a second language gives students the chance to make a
difference globally. He says expecting others to learn your own
language impedes the ability to reach out to the world in areas where
English isn't spoken. More than 400 teachers from across Alberta are
attending the conference.  The son of late prime minister Pierre
Trudeau, Justin Trudeau is running for the federal Liberals in the
Montreal-area riding of Papineau in the next election.
