Goa: Schools still await French textbooks
Even as schools are only days away from the first term examinations, the
class eight students that have opted for French as their second language are

tenth with nearly 4,000 students opting for the language, informed sources
in the directorate of education (DoE). And even as officials in the DoE
claim that textbooks for the subject for the academic year have been
supplied, the standard eight students with French as their second language
are struggling to cope in the absence of textbooks.
