Custom language courses in demand

The increased presence of foreign investors, particularly Englishspeaking
businesses, into the country's markets has fueled the language school
market's robust annual 2030 percent growth. Increasingly, Ukrainian
professionals, companies and families recognize the importance of foreign
language skills, and not just English. "Professionals with a good command of
English earn a minimum of 15 to 20 percent more than those who do not,"
notes Yulia Shilova, marketing manager for Speak Up, an English language
school.

Increasingly, both individual students and corporate clients are demanding
more focused, businesscentric language training. Most topline schools have
responded and have begun to offer custom courses such as English for
callcenters, lawyers, human resources, tourism and real estate development.
"Most language schools have realized the importance of opening
businessEnglish branches in house," says Mike Bell, coowner of the Phoenix
English center.
