35% of teachers lack good command of English



The Education Ministry revealed that about 35% of teachers teaching Science
and Mathematics in schools nationwide have been found to lack a good command
of the English language.



Deputy Education Minister Datuk Razali Ismail said such a setback in the
teaching profession was discovered during surveys conducted in schools that
were selected randomly, to gauge the standard of teachers who are tasked to
teach both the subjects in English.
