There will be a Postgraduate Forum hosted at Glasgow Caledonian
University on Language Diversity in the EU held on 18 & 19 November,
2009.
Topics to be discussed may include:
-Recording the Linguistic Landscape
-Multilingualism & Migration
-Applying Linguistics
-Negotiating Policy and Practice
This event is affiliated with the DYLAN project (Integrated Project
[Contract N° 028702] funded under Framework Programme 6 of the
European Union, http://www.dylan-project.org/) and will give
postgraduates the opportunity to meet and converse with leading
researchers in the field of multilingualism including our
distinguished guests:
-Georges Lüdi (Universität Basel, Institut für Französische Sprach- und
Literaturwissenschaft)
-Ruth Wodak (Lancaster University, Department of Linguistics and
English Language)
