Kageri contempt case

The government has filed application in the High Court seeking the
recall of an earlier order of the court passed against Education
minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri in an contempt petition. The High
Court had decided to frame charges against Kageri on December 18,
regarding his alleged violation of court order in the Language Policy
case. The state has sought recall of that order. The court has
adjourned the hearing to next week. According to the complainant, the
minister has prevented officers from filing affidavit before the court
regarding the grant of permission to English medium schools.
