The National Heritage Language Resource Center at UCLA invites
applications to participate in the 3rd Summer Heritage Language
Research Institute. This year's institute will be held on the campus
of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It will focus on
the implications of research for classroom instruction. Each
participant will design a small classroom research project during the
course of the institute and carry it out during the fall 2009 term.

Applications are invited from faculty in languages, linguistics, and
education. Graduate students are encouraged to apply, and some
financial assistance may be available for them. Details and the online
