For laid-off teachers, teaching in Korea offers one intriguing option
With 27,000 teachers (and counting) scheduled to lose their jobs in
California this year, many educators are finding themselves in the
unfortunate position of looking for ways to improve their odds of
landing a decent teaching job. Rather than being condemned to the
uncertainty of tutoring, the rigors of graduate school, or the agony
of changing careers after years of schooling, there is an option that
many laid-off teachers are now considering: teaching overseas in
Korea.
