Degree in foreign languages opens MNC, BPO doors

Knowledge of a foreign language helps break many barriers. At Delhi
University, BA (honours) courses in French, German, Spanish and
Italian and the opportunities they bring along are just waiting to be
tapped. With salary offers as high as Rs 5 lakh per annum, and jobs
that only multiply every year, these undergraduate courses in foreign
languages can prove to be the best bet for students looking for a seat
in DU this year.

DU's department of germanic and romance studies runs a three-year
degree course in four languages. The admission in these courses is
conducted through a single entrance test to be held on June 18 this
year. After completing the course, students attract fat salary offers
from multinational companies operating in tourism sector besides KPOs
and BPOs. And, the current phase of recession has hardly affected the
soaring demand.
