Foreign Legion Cash in on Language Skills
So you want a job in languages
If your idea of speaking another language stretches to "dos cervezas
por favor" ...then think again.
Learning a foreign tongue is one of the best ways to get ahead in the
highly competitive global jobs market.
About 25,000 young Scots leave every year in search of jobs and a
better way of life - though most don't speak a second language.
Jerome Richalot, director at Alliance Francaise in Glasgow, said:
"English is global and speaking it will get you most places. But
speaking a foreign language too will get you much further."
