Two international conferences later this month relating to localization and
multilingual uses of information and communication technology (ICT) bear
mentioning:
1) The Localisation Research Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland
will hold its 14th annual conference on Sept. 24-25 in Limerick. The theme
is "Localisation in the Cloud." For more information see a letter
summarizing it at
http://www.localisation.ie/client/129/43852/22/4/e7/index.htm or the LRC's
main site, http://www.localisation.ie/
2) MAAYA, the International Network for Linguistic Diversity, and Linguamón,
the House of Languages in Barcelona, Spain, are sponsoring an International
Symposium on Multilingualism in Cyberspace on Sept. 29-30 in Barcelona. For
more information, see http://www.maayajo.org/spip.php?article105

It would be interesting to hear reports from anyone participating in either
of these events.
