Meeting Description:

The purpose of the Global Michigan conference, the annual conference
of the Ambassadorial and Consular Corps and Eastern Michigan
University, is to explore ways of revitalizing the region by means of
internationalization. We plan to consider various facets of this topic
through panel and round table discussions as well as presentations.
Some topics of interest include entrepreneurial immigration, language
and international trade/careers, creating and maintaining
international partnerships, and promoting sustainability by preserving
our heritages.

Call for Papers:

Papers and posters are invited on international development in
academia, technology and commerce. Some topics include:

- Entrepreneurial Immigration
- Creating and maintaining international partnerships
- The role of international communities in the revitalization of the region
- The culture(s), heritage(s) and language(s) factors
- Language and International Trade
- Language and International Careers
- Models of Internationalization
- Technology supporting an international agenda
- Attracting foreign capital and high-tech companies
- Promoting sustainability by preserving our Heritages

Please send abstracts of no more than one page by September 15, 2011.
