Meeting Description:
1st International Symposium on Sign Language Acquisition
The main goal of this conference is to spread robust knowledge on language acquisition, mainly on sign language acquisition. Topics surrounding monolingual and bimodal acquisition, sign language acquisition as L2 and developmental sign language disorders will be approached as well as the interface between language acquisition and neuroscience.
Call for Papers:
We invite submissions involving ongoing research projects on sign language sign language acquisition, sign bilingualism and sign language acquisition as L2. Abstracts should be written in English with a maximum of 400 words (excluding references). The abstract should contain a clear focus of analysis, methodology and a summary of the empirical findings. The deadline for submission is 10 September 2012.
Abstract Submission:
You may choose to present an individual research paper or a poster at SLA Symposium.
Abstract Specifications:
1 page, 400 words, single-spaced, font size 12 pt, Times New Roman, 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Diagrams and references must fit in the page.
Heading should include:
Title of the paper
Author(s) name
Author(s) affiliation
Email address of principal author
Abstracts should be sent to SLA2013 at ics.lisboa.ucp.pt.
