Focus on languages on International Mother Languages Day
In honor of International Mother Languages Day, celebrated on February 21,
countries turn their focus to languages. A couple examples of countries
supporting language study:
Armenia's Parliament held a special meeting to commemorate the work scholars
have done on preserving Armenian: http://www.parliament.am/news.php?
cat_id=2&NewsID=5027&year=2012&month=02&day=21&lang=eng
The Bureau of Ghana Languages urges schools and the Ministry of Culture to
concentrate on actively supporting native language use in education and public
realms: http://gbcghana.com/index.php?id=1.793177
