Area: Language development and infant bilingualism

The Concordia Infant Research Laboratory

), directed by Dr. Krista Byers-Heinlein, has a postdoctoral fellowship
position available for 2013-2014 (with possible extension). Concordia
University is located in Montreal, Canada, a vibrant and multicultural city
known for its restaurants, festivals, and joie de vivre. The laboratory
uses behavioral and eye tracking techniques to investigate monolingual and
bilingual development in infancy, with opportunities for brain-based
studies using ERP and NIRS techniques. The post-doctoral fellow will have
the opportunity to collaborate on ongoing and planned studies within the
context of an active and well-networked research centre, and a dynamic lab
environment. He/she will assume primary responsibility for designing new
studies, data analysis, preparation of presentations, and
publications.  Applicants
must have, or expect to have, a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field, and
can be either Canadian or foreign citizens. One and two-year funding is
available on a competitive basis from Canadian government agencies, with
additional funds available to support conference travel:
