Language policy: officials laud AIISH’s efforts
Staff Correspondent

Manoj Aabussariya, Deputy Director (Official Language) and Rajesh
Srivastav, Assistant Director (Official Language), Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare recently visited the All-India Institute of Speech
and Hearing (AIISH) for inspecting the implementation of the official
language, Hindi, at the institute.

During their inspection, the officials expressed happiness over the
use of Hindi in all spheres of work.

Workshop

A workshop was conducted at the institute where officers briefed the
staff about the official language policy and the guidelines under it,
and gave hands-on training to the institute’s staff on the use of
Hindi in computers and on internet.

The officers appreciated the works done by the institute in the
implementation of official language and lauded the institute for
publishing Hindi-English dictionary on speech and hearing terminology.
The institute also came in for praise for its trilingual letter head,
which, the release said, was well-designed. The officers also
appreciated the institute’s trilingual website. AIISH Director S.R.
Savithri thanked the officers for visiting the institute and giving
suggestions on the official language.
